The necklace
What does the necklace really look like?
Three pendants, all in 14k white gold finish over stainless steel with a cubic zirconia stone: the love knot (0.6" high, 6mm stone), the heart (0.8" high, 6mm stone) and the drop (0.8" high, 7mm stone). The chain adjusts from 18" to 22" and closes with a lobster clasp. The photos on each necklace page show it in the box and up close.
Is it made of gold? Will it tarnish?
The gold is a finish, not the metal itself. The necklace is stainless steel with a 14k white gold finish. Stainless steel holds up well to daily wear. To keep the finish bright, take the necklace off before showering or swimming and keep perfume and lotion away from it.
How long is the chain? Will it fit a teen?
The chain adjusts from 18" to 22". That is a standard adult length, so it fits teens and adults. On a young child it will hang lower.
How strong are the chain and the clasp?
The chain is a cable chain and it closes with a lobster clasp. Take it off when bathing and sleeping. If anything is wrong with it, the Love-It Promise covers it for 30 days after delivery.
The card
Will her card look like the preview?
Yes. Your card prints as you see it in the preview. Double-check her name before you add it to your cart.
How long can the message be?
The card has a name line and four short lines for the message and the sign-off, up to 24 characters each. Pick one of our messages or write your own. If your own message is too long, the page tells you before you add it to your cart.
Can it be from Dad, Grandpa, Nana or an aunt? Can it be from both of us?
Yes. You choose who it is from, or you type your own sign-off, for example "Love, Mom and Dad". You can also leave the card without a sign-off.
What exactly comes in the box?
A soft touch gift box. Inside it, the necklace sits on the printed card. Nothing else, and no price or invoice.
Ordering and delivery
When will it arrive?
Making takes 3 to 5 business days. USPS delivery in the USA takes 2 to 5 business days after that. Plan on 5 to 10 business days in total.
Where is my order?
Open the confirmation email and tap View your order, or log in with your email address. The status page shows the card text and, once it ships, the USPS tracking number.
Do you ship outside the USA?
Right now we ship within the United States. Shipping is free.
Can you ship it straight to her?
Yes. Enter her address at checkout. There is no price or invoice in the package. If you would rather give it in person, ship it to yourself.
I made a typo. Can I change the name or the message?
Email hello@verseandvellum.com right away with your order number and the correct text. If your necklace is not in production yet, we change it. If it already is, the Love-It Promise covers one remake.
I ordered two by mistake. What now?
Email us right away with your order number. If the order is not in production yet, we cancel the extra necklace and refund it.
Is this a one-time payment?
Yes. You pay once. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
If something is wrong
What if she doesn’t love it?
Tell us within 30 days of delivery. We remake it once, with the message you want, or we refund your order. Your choice, once per order. Details are on the Returns page.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery. We make it again at no cost to you.
