Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed at vestraloft.com (the "store"). By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them together with our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy.

1. Who we are

The store is operated by Josef Havel, Czech Republic. You can reach us at hello@vestraloft.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" means the operator, and "Verse & Vellum" is the name of the store.

2. Your order

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. We accept it when we email you the order confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example when payment fails, when we suspect fraud, or when the card text breaks section 3. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.

3. Personalization

You give us the name, the message and the sign-off that we print on the card. You are responsible for that text.

• We print it as you see it in the preview, including spelling and capital letters.
• You confirm that you have the right to use the names and words you give us, and that they do not infringe anyone’s rights.
• We may refuse text that is hateful, threatening, obscene, or that infringes a trademark or copyright. In that case we cancel the order and refund it.
• A personalized item is made for one person and cannot be resold. Returns for a change of mind are therefore not possible. The Love-It Promise in our Refund policy applies instead.

4. Changes and cancellations

Production starts shortly after you order. You can change the text or cancel the order only while the necklace is not yet in production. Email us right away if you need to. Details are in our Refund policy.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay. You pay once, when you order. There is no subscription. Payment is handled by the payment providers shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but a change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.

6. Shipping and delivery

We ship within the United States. Delivery times are estimates and are described in our Shipping policy. Delivery is complete when the carrier marks the package as delivered to the address you gave us. Please check the address before you pay.

7. The product

Each necklace is a pendant in 14k white gold finish over stainless steel with a cubic zirconia stone, on an adjustable chain of 18" to 22". The pendant shape, the stone and the sizes are stated on each product page. The gold is a finish, not the metal itself. The card is printed paper. Colors on your screen can differ slightly from the real item.

8. The Love-It Promise and refunds

Our Refund policy describes the Love-It Promise, what happens with damaged or wrong items, and how refunds are paid. It forms part of these terms.

9. Content of this site

The texts, photos and design of this store belong to us or to our suppliers and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission. The text you give us for the card stays yours. You allow us to print it on your card and to show you a preview of it.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for delivering the product you ordered as described. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a gift arriving after the day you planned to give it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot be limited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This does not limit the protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. Disputes are handled by the courts of the Czech Republic, unless the law gives you the right to another court.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version shown in the store when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
